ABOARD THE LOGOS HOPE

One of the things that most people doesn't know about me is that I love to read books. That's why when Logos Hope - the world's largest floating book fair, visited the shores of Subic, I really made an effort to pay it a visit. Thank God I did because it was the last day (April 8) before they set sail to another destination (Country) again.
Logos Hope carries a community of 400 unpaid volunteers from over 45 different countries and they work together for one purpose - to bring knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world. And with over 5,000 book titles, no wonder Logos Hope is the world's largest floating Book Fair!

Entrance is just Php20 per person. We started the tour with a short presentation at the lifeboat theater where we learned about what it's like to live in a ship and the vital part (for me), how to purchase books! 100 units = 100 pesos. Simple as that!

After the short presentation, we were able to take a look at some mock up displays of the ship's interiors...

…and the illustrated history of GBA ships.

Finally, the Book Fair!

The Journey of Life exhibit...

…and the International Cafe! or I-Cafe for short. Had an ice cream cone and a Cherry Coke!

An appearance by the ships resident captain, er…mascot!

Of course it wouldn't be right if I don't buy books right? That's what you do when you visit a book fair. Buy books!
Frame by Frame, Quick & Easy Cookbook, Superman Returns, The Boy Who Returned To The Sea, Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling
The Breakdown:
Cookbook Php500
Superman Php100
The Boy… Php100
Just So Stories Php150
Total: Php850
