All set to skate, Filipino skateboard enthusiasts came in full force last March 31 to experience the country's first and biggest skateboarding event dubbed Converse Asia Crown at the Mindanao open parking lot of Trinoma.
Catering to the best skateboarders around the Metro, Asia Crown aims to give Filipino skateboarders the chance to show off their dope moves on the board and compete with the best of the best skateboarders cross the country to vie for the title of being the first official skateboarding ambassador of Converse Philippines who gets to compete internationally and also in the upcoming skate event in China.
To find out who won the Php50,000 prize money plus a year's worth of Converse skateboarding goodies, check out My Life On Board's coverage HERE.
The skate summit was also a day-long celebration of physical and rceative recreation - with activities such as the skate clinic, finger skateboarding competition, foam pit, and graffiti art - while also fusing music through electrifying performances from the country's top local bands.
For the fashionable spectators, Converse Philippines featured a preview of their Spring Summer Collection…
And speaking of fashionable people, here are the bloggers who gave their support to the brand and the event by posing (and immortalized through a life-size standee) with their favorite pairs of Converse shoes!

Lexi Gancayco of Lexi The Second
Seph Cham of Love Chic
Cheyser Pedregosa of The Walking Recessionista
David Guison of DG MNL and Lissa Kahayon of Scene Stealer
Ana Gonzales also went to the event to support me (nga ba?)and my fellow bloggers.
And the lovebirds Seph and Shai!

We were stuck at the Converse booth and for fear of my Superman Chucks being ruined by the rain (as if, hehe), I was told to stand on a chair by the girls (Ana and Angel) and the cool owner of the Converse outlet at Trinoma, Louie.
Louie even took this photo. Haha.
Fortunately, it just rained at the earlier part of the day. Though I was not able to take part in the press conference of top US based pro skaters Kenny Anderson and Mike Anderson because I needed to go somewhere else (business stuff), I've heard that the event went on smoothly and was a success.
Congratulations Converse Philippines!
