LOOK LIKE A CEO… NOT! #31 - I'M HOT! LITERALLY

Seriously. I am. Was. Another hour more and I might be spurting blood out of my nose. Not sexy. It was really that hot that day (Get Sole shoot) but who am I to complain if the photos come out like this?

FOREVER21 SM NORTH (THE BLOCK) LAUNCH

Now by this time we all know that Forever21 exists in the north right? Much thanks to its highly publicized store opening where aside from the "usual" media, it also rained bloggers!

Before you proceed, let me warn you that there's not a single photo of the store here in this post. I don't want you to drool over your laptop while reading this. Best is for you to visit the store personally! You won't regret it.

Now back to the post, here are some of the beautiful people who went/was spotted at the launch. Enjoy!

LOOK LIKE A CEO... NOT! #30 - PURPLE RUST

This is my second look for the shoot that I and three of my blogger friends (Catch, Kelly and Miko) did for Get Sole. This one is for the brown plimsolls...

CRIMINAL CASE #2 - CUERO MACBOOK AIR 13" COVER

I have been a little careless with my Laptop. There were two occasions when I slept with it beside me and you know that feeling when you suddenly wake up with the noise made by something very important that fell? Well it's a mixture of a bucket of cold water poured in your insides + self-hate. Felt that 2 times! My laptop now has minor minor scratches and bumps (thank you, me) that's why when I saw this sexy leather laptop cover, I swore to myself that there will be no third time of waking up in self-hate. Never again!

MEGA 20 MOST STYLISH

What: Mega 20 Most Stylish
When: April 17, 2012
Where: Edsa Shangri-La

Mega Magazine held its annual Most Stylish gala last April 17 at the e's Bar of Edsa Shangri-La and I was invited as a guest (by She of Mega's Advertising), not as a blogger but still...

LOOK LIKE A CEO… NOT! #29 - GREY SKY MORNING

Had a shoot along with fellow bloggers Kelly, Catch and Miko for Get Sole. This was my first look. And no, it was NOT a grey sky morning.

The title was originally "Grey Soul" (as published in my LB) but then I realized that Vertical Horizon is playing tonight at the big dome. I happen to be a fan and this look is so far the Best I Ever Had. So go figure...

SUMMER TIME IS CHUCK IT TIME

THE BURGER PROJECT

Now before anything else, I am not really big or crazy on burgers. I can live without them. The only times I appreciate burgers is when I do take outs. I always thought that burgers are made for take outs you know. It's fast, convenient and you don't really think when you eat it. You just do. Now I know you were judging me upon reading the first parts of my entry because come on! Who's not crazy on burgers? Right?

I must admit that when my loves Pax invited me to the relaunch of the newly renovated BRGR Project, I was more keen on going because of the company rather than the burgers but surprise, surprise! Who says that you can't have 2 slices of heaven all at the same time? Good Company + Great Burgers. That should've been my title for this post...

LOOK LIKE A CEO… NOT! #28 - AND IT WAS ALL YELLOW

Woe to people like me who loves to dress up but is restricted by the heat surge terrorizing the metro lately. With my profession's nature, I just can't simply go with a loose plain shirt and jeans on presentations (though it sounds good) nor attend events (as a blogger) with just minimal (or no) efforts in looking good. Adding pressure to the heat is the pressure (to look swag!) itself. Now with all restrictions considered, all you need is just a little creativity and the right accessories to look extra something, something...

LOOK LIKE A CEO… NOT! #27 - GOT MY TIE ON MY POCKET

This look is very common among most male bloggers I know. What made this special? The bowtie I placed on my pocket...

ABOARD THE LOGOS HOPE

One of the things that most people doesn't know about me is that I love to read books. That's why when Logos Hope - the world's largest floating book fair, visited the shores of Subic, I really made an effort to pay it a visit. Thank God I did because it was the last day (April 8) before they set sail to another destination (Country) again.

SPOTTED: FOREVER21 BRAND AMBASSADORS

Here's something to start off this busy week.

Taken at the Forever21 The Block (SM North) launch, here are some of today's top bloggers representing the brand in their own personal styles… I'm proud of these shots (and bloggers as well!).

LOOK LIKE A CEO... NOT! #26 - BOAT ADMIRAL

Now before anything else, let me warn you that you will be seeing A LOT of The PR Guy in this post. I seldom get 90% workable shots everytime I do shoots so please allow me on this one. Promise this will be the last.

Taken at Subic over the Holy Week, I must say that this set is probably one of my best. Haha.

START HERE EXHIBIT AT THE PODIUM

Now I have been seeing a LOT of David Guison lately. The recent being yesterday at the Forever21 (SM North, The Block) launch where he walked the runway along with fellow Forever21 brand ambassadors (Tricia, Lissa and Stacy). Not that I'm complaining ok? One of the reasons why I got into blogging (and my penchant for printed socks) is David. Idol ko yata yan (even though I'm waaayyy older than him)!

Anyway, I went to support him at the Start Here: A Multimedia Collective Exhibit at the Podium last March 29 where he, along with 26 artists from the Multimedia Arts Program of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, showcased their purpose-driven works of art. Purpose-driven because they want to change the audience's perspective with how they (the exhibitors) think and create.

SUMMER IS COOL IN THE PHILIPPINES!

Alright, alright I'm taking that back. But didn't you know there's a lot of ways on how to be (and feel) cool in our country? Here's a couple…

The White Hat Cup Challenge with Andi and Jessica

The White Hat - Italian Frozen Yogurt, officially welcomes Ms. Andi Manzano and Ms.Jessica Mendoza as its official brand ambassadors. To kick off the event, The White Hat is launching the TWH Cup Challenge with this question - "How many yogurt cups can you carry?".

AND THEN THERE WAS SIX

Three things that I love:
1. Shoes
2. Chuck Taylors
3. Superman!
All rolled into one, you will get the Converse Superman Chuck Taylors!

Finally, I'm ready to show you (just a tiny portion of my shoe collection) my six pairs of Superman Chucks!

The first three I bought locally and the last three from the US. Shoe #4 and #5 was thru a cousin and the last pair (which completed them all! so far) was thru Kelly of The Traveling Boots.

So there! Are you also a fan of shoes? How about Superman? If yes to both, cool! Close na tayo!

CONVERSE ASIA CROWN: READY, SKATE, GO!

All set to skate, Filipino skateboard enthusiasts came in full force last March 31 to experience the country's first and biggest skateboarding event dubbed Converse Asia Crown at the Mindanao open parking lot of Trinoma.

Catering to the best skateboarders around the Metro, Asia Crown aims to give Filipino skateboarders the chance to show off their dope moves on the board and compete with the best of the best skateboarders cross the country to vie for the title of being the first official skateboarding ambassador of Converse Philippines who gets to compete internationally and also in the upcoming skate event in China.

To find out who won the Php50,000 prize money plus a year's worth of Converse skateboarding goodies, check out My Life On Board's coverage HERE.

The skate summit was also a day-long celebration of physical and rceative recreation - with activities such as the skate clinic, finger skateboarding competition, foam pit, and graffiti art - while also fusing music through electrifying performances from the country's top local bands.

For the fashionable spectators, Converse Philippines featured a preview of their Spring Summer Collection…

And speaking of fashionable people, here are the bloggers who gave their support to the brand and the event by posing (and immortalized through a life-size standee) with their favorite pairs of Converse shoes!

Paul Jatayna of Paul Highness
Lexi Gancayco of Lexi The Second
Seph Cham of Love Chic
Cheyser Pedregosa of The Walking Recessionista
David Guison of DG MNL and Lissa Kahayon of Scene Stealer
And then there's me! Haha. Fashionable daw oh...

Ana Gonzales also went to the event to support me (nga ba?)and my fellow bloggers.

And the lovebirds Seph and Shai!

Police aviators, Zara denim jacket, Zara Superman shirt, Crave More necklace, Topman skinny jeans and Converse Superman Chuck Taylors
And then it rained…

We were stuck at the Converse booth and for fear of my Superman Chucks being ruined by the rain (as if, hehe), I was told to stand on a chair by the girls (Ana and Angel) and the cool owner of the Converse outlet at Trinoma, Louie.

Louie even took this photo. Haha.

Fortunately, it just rained at the earlier part of the day. Though I was not able to take part in the press conference of top US based pro skaters Kenny Anderson and Mike Anderson because I needed to go somewhere else (business stuff), I've heard that the event went on smoothly and was a success.

Congratulations Converse Philippines!
