Based on what I read, our appetites change when the days grow shorter. One interesting bit from the article is how our body responds to the cold season automatically relating it to the holidays. And when we say holidays, we think of a warm cup of cocoa, hot soup, comfort food in general —Filipino in particular. But not only that, we also think of home. Feeling all warm and fuzzy already?
Now I consider myself lucky for getting the chance to indulge in my favorite Filipino comfort foods (with a twist!) when I visited Cucina ni Bunso last week. Lucky because the place is like less than a 15 minute ride from where I live!
Cucina ni Bunso sounded very humble. I honestly didn't expect much other than the thought that "hey, maybe the conversation will make up for what I thought will lack." But thoughts can be deceiving you know. Look at the place!
